WHAT THE TRICK LOOKS LIKE

Blaine asks a volunteer to pick a card, show it around to the rest of the audience and then stick it back into the deck. Then the deck is shuffled and Blaine pretends not to be able to find the card. After a few attempts, the cards are thrown against a window in a fit of rage.

But when you look at the window, the chosen card is suddenly sticking to the OTHER side of the window.

Here's how the trick is done:


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

-two identical decks of cards
-a friend who's in on the trick.


WHAT'S THE SECRET?

This trick should be performed in an area with a large window nearby, and your volunteer must be facing away from the window.

After a few failed attempts at finding the card, you fake an angry outburst, and making sure the cards are squared up,you throw the pack broadside at the window. Your friend, who's in on the trick, is positioned on the other side of the window, and has an identical deck of cards.

Remember when the volunteer showed the card to the audience? Well, your friend on the other side of the window saw the card, too. And while you were pretending to search for the right card, your friend secretly taped his copy of the selected card to his side of the window.

This trick creates a real surprise, but it is important to pick up the fallen cards quickly and to pocket the original chosen card on your side of the window.
